Discourse in Spatial Vacuums: Deconstructing approaches the built environment through acts of visual disassembly. The research draws on deconstructivist thinking to examine how spatial and material elements can be separated, layered, and reassembled to reveal new readings of architectural space. Through drawing, the work breaks apart familiar spatial configurations — facades, thresholds, structural elements — and reconstructs them in ways that expose their underlying tensions and contradictions. The process of deconstruction here is not destructive but generative: by pulling apart the coherent surface of architectural form, new spatial possibilities and meanings emerge from the fragments. The series uses a combination of ink, drawing, and collage techniques to navigate the boundary between representation and abstraction, between the legible architectural image and its dissolution into pure spatial experience.
