‍The work captures Copenhagen’s historic Børsen at a moment of rupture, reflecting on the devastating fire that severely damaged one of the city’s most emblematic buildings. An exceptional example of Dutch Renaissance architecture, its brick façade, elaborate gables and ornamental details expressed centuries of craftsmanship and cultural memory.

The drawing suspends the building between presence and disappearance. It examines how architecture can be remembered through fragments, traces and changing material states after a sudden moment of destruction.

The original artwork was created using ink and oil pastels on canvas paper, combined with layered PVC and polyester sheets.
