Hahnemühle FineArt German Etching 310g/m² - Textured Matt  

Within the composition, the structure is deliberately deconstructed through a series of carefully positioned voids. These absences reveal and intensify its spatial framework, allowing the industrial architecture to be read as a fragmented and evolving system rather than a fixed object.

Dots and lines are drawn across multiple layers of tracing paper, while a photographic image sourced from published documentation of the site is collaged into the work. Together, the layers represent different states of material life, construction, use, adaptation, deterioration and disappearance.

The artwork combines architectural observation, drawing, photography and material experimentation to explore how buildings accumulate traces of time and transformation.

The original piece was created using ink, layered tracing papers and photographic collage. It received an Honourable Mention in the Mixed Media category of the Archisource Drawing of the Year Awards 2024.
